I did read The Perks of Being a Wallflower and really enjoyed it, but the new trailer for it looks a bit, well, ordinary, really. It has that sort of glossy, polished feel to it, the sort of film where everyone’s hair and teeth are always sparkling and there’s usually a plinky-plonky acoustic guitar/clapping hands on the soundtrack. Also, I don’t know who decided to turn Ezra Miller into Sir Campalot. But, hey, I knew it wasn’t exactly going to be The Double Life of Véronique.
